The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially extended the registration deadline for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise, giving prospective candidates additional time to complete their applications.
The registration portal, which was initially expected to close earlier, will now remain open until Friday, 17th July 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
This extension provides another opportunity for candidates who are yet to register, make corrections where necessary, or finalize their application before the screening exercise begins.
Screening Slip Reprint
All registered candidates are expected to reprint their screening slip from Wednesday, 22nd July 2026.
The screening slip will contain important information, including:
Examination date
Examination time
Examination venue
Candidates are advised to check these details carefully before the examination day.
Screening Exercise Still Begins on July 27
Although the registration deadline has been extended, the screening exercise will still commence on Monday, 27th July 2026. There has been no change to the examination schedule.
Candidates should therefore use the extra time to intensify their preparation rather than postponing it.
Important Instructions for Candidates
UNIBEN has advised all candidates to:
Arrive at their examination venue at least one hour before the scheduled time.
Avoid bringing mobile phones, calculators, or any other unauthorized items into the examination hall, as they will not be permitted.
Make the Most of the Extension
An extension of the registration deadline is an opportunity to prepare better—not a reason to delay your studies. With only a few weeks left before the screening exercise, every practice session can make a difference.
If you're preparing for the UNIBEN Post-UTME, practice with real past questions, timed CBT simulations, and detailed explanations designed to help you perform confidently on examination day.
